Developing your Marketing Strategy - 18 May 2010

No matter how good your creativity is, taking a strategic approach to your marketing and branding is essential to business success. This workshop will explore the importance of having a clear value proposition and point of difference. You will also learn what it takes to build a world class brand and how a well planned marketing strategy plays an important part in achieving this status.

 

Getting Paid - 25 May

With rising costs and a sluggish economy; many small businesses are going to find it more difficult to get their customers to 'pay up' and will more than likely have to review their current credit policy.

This interactive workshop is designed to equip you with the tools and skills to improve business cashflow by increasing how quickly your customers pay.  We will discuss the fundamentals of debtor management, learn how to properly credit-assess prospective clients, and manage them while avoiding common collection mistakes that could cost you business.

 

Effective Marketing Communications - 1 June 2010

Learn to how to make your marketing communications work for you and generate enquiries, and develop new business. This workshop will also equip participants with the skills necessary to build strong customer relationships, as well as choose the best format to reach your target market.

 

Budgeting and Cashflow Planning - 8 June 2010

Without clear financial budgets and cashflow projections many design businesses fail to reach their goals. Inadequate cashflow is one of the major constraints to business growth, and a common reason for business failure. This half day workshop aims to provide practical techniques in budgeting and managing cashflow.

 

Attitude is Everything - 15 June 2010

Attitude is everything when it comes to running a successful business. Whether business is booming or whether times are tough, businesses that succeed are those where the owners are able to adopt an open approach to seeking answers and solving problems. This workshop will assist DINZ members with the development of critical traits that business owners and managers must master in order to succeed – openness, tenacity, motivation and ambition.

 

To be eligible you must:
- Be a paid up DINZ member.
- Be trading - as a business or as a sole trader/freelancer.
- Be operating for profit. Charitable Trusts are unfortunately not eligible.
- Be the owner, operator or manager within the small to medium enterprise.
- Employ less than 50 full-time staff (Full time = 30 hours or more per week).

You will be required to complete a registration form and an online business assessment which will take 15-20mins.
 
This initiative has been fully funded by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise i.e. there is no attendance fee. Please note that the full value of this series (with coaching) is valued at approximately $2,500+GST per person.
