Malcolm Taylor - Xsite Architects
Director of Xsite Architects, Malcolm Taylor was a senior design Architect at JASMAX for 9 years and worked with Bossley Cheshire Architects before his company was established.
Xsite Architects has grown to a team of 5, working on a large range of projects, both in the field of Commercial, Education, Marine Interiors, Commercial Interiors, Residential; high density, new and private renovations.
Xsite Architects received the NZIA National supreme award in 2005 for a beach house in Piha, along with a string of NZIA branch awards over the past ten years. The 5 best awards have been achieved from 1998 have also been keenly cherished.

Malcolm Walker - Malcolm Walker Architects
Malcolm Walker is an architect, cartoonist and commentator. He has had an enduring professional relationship with Penny Vernon for the past 25 years and still finds it energising.
Like Penny, Malcolm is a Westcoaster (Penny,North Island, Malcolm South Island) which, he says, gives both of them an appreciation of the comfort and commodity a building can bring, and also an appreciation of prevailing winds.
Malcolm is known for his careful, fashion wary buildings. ‘We build buildings to live in and be in”. He is internationally famous for having one of his cartoons set to needlepoint by a Sydney stitchcraft guild.
Heroes are Saint Robin Vernon, John Scott and Allan Limmer.
Favourite colour fluoro pink.

Peter Eising - Pacific Environments Ltd
Following 18 years as Director of Architects Patterson, I set up Pacific Environments Ltd Architects in 2006 for a fresh start and direction with a few key staff. Shortly after, we merged with ADP Architects –previously Architects Dodd Paterson with 50 years experience and already a leading player in sustainable design.
We have a current office of 16 people, involved in all aspects of Architecture, from master planning, conceptual designs, interiors, full documentation, project management, presentation and renders through to research and lecturing with one of our team at Ak University.
Our projects which largely focus on low energy, sustainable innovative design and urban sustainability, have not only attracted key architects to our team but a strong client base –from residential, retirement, resorts, civic and community, commercial and industrial, education, sports, recreation, wineries and tourism -all with a common ESD theme. We’re not looking at being everything to everyone, yet our specialisation, team skills and open approach allows us to slot into most projects.
My work, while largely residential base – also includes master planning/urban design with an emphasis on rejuvenation of under-performing sites and buildings.
Recent and current projects –all on our website, include Cape Reinga Visitors Centre, Millennium Institute of Sport, Grey Lynn Community Centre, Waitakere Gardens Retirement and Villages in Wanaka and Wellington, Papatoetoe Multisport Centre, Onepoto WC’s, and the Yellow Treehouse.

David Wingate - Wingate + Farquhar
David Wingate is an architect with a wide understanding of architectural design and management in New Zealand and the UK. Recently David has developed particular expertise in residential buildings and interiors, and has further experience in commercial buildings, interiors, public buildings, healthcare and retail projects.
David strives to produce high quality design solutions to meet clients' needs in all respects: visually, environmentally, technically, on time and on budget. David’s design method involves close dialogue with the client to explore and develop the brief and ensure that the design grows out of a shared understanding of the objectives. In this way the design can bridge the gap between what is desirable and what is possible.
