DESIGN - L4 Certificate in Design

If you’re looking for a stepping stone for further tertiary study in art or design, then look no further! Through hands-on learning, you will develop an understanding of the creative design process, strengthen your art and design skills, and improve your study skills for degree level academic study. Experiment with a variety of media, including 2D and 3D drawing, digital design, painting, photography, graphics, workshop skills, woodworking, casting techniques, use of recycled materials and folio presentation.

Duration

Entry criteria
• 12 credits in NCEA Level 1 English or an equivalent level of achievement in the School of Art & Design’s Literacy test.
• 12 NCEA Credits Level 1 Art, or evidence that demonstrates an equivalent level of achievement.
• A portfolio of work demonstrating design and art skills (contact the School for details).
