About Daniel M. Kirsch
2007
Daniel draws on a 13 year design experience after finishing formal graphic design training in Germany. He has been working with costume and set designers at several leading state theatres in Germany, as well as for art and environmental organisations and the music industry. He eventually set up his own design studio in Hamburg to work on gratifying, independent projects. He is also co-founder of Dzengel + Kirsch Information-Design, specialising in guide system development. In 2001 Daniel came to Coromandel and created 'Studio Kirsch conscious graphic design'. The studio focusses on work where professional design can make a positive difference in people's lives. Aside from his NZ work, projects in Germany are still on a regular basis. Daniel enjoys networking with other professionals. Together with Geoff Ball and Thomas Everth he set up visualvoice Ltd. (please also view www.visualvoice.co.nz) in 2004 as an umbrella organisation for team projects that require a greater mix of professional skills. During the 2004 BeST awards Daniel has been a graphic design judge, and a finalist in 2005. He specialises in print, with recognition in the Pride in Print Awards each year since 2003. Daniel won Gold for his own stationary in Pride in Print in 2004 in the environmental category.
