Jennie Dunlop FDINZ

Jennie Dunlop (FDINZ) has been operating as a spatial designer in New Zealand since 1985. Projects, both residential and commerical, have been completed throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. Jennie's projects have been featured in numerous interior design magazines and television. Jennie designed interiors on MS Itasca and Katana for Amercias Cup in 2000 and 2003.

Jennie has been an active member of the Designers Institute and regularly attended and supported their meetings, conferences, design events and promotions as well as mentored design students and graduates.

Jenny Green FDINZ

Jill Carroll FDINZ

Jill was a member of the Society of Interior Designers (before DINZ was formed). In 1991 organised trade seminar at Pembridge, worked on interiors sector committee, recruited sponsors for Designers Saturday and Best Design Awards and actively promoted DINZ to industry and designers through until this year.

Actively participated in 1994 DINZ conference at Waipuna Lodge, with approximately 150 delegates from the design community. In 1994 served on a committee for DINZ throughout year to organise events and meetings of interest to members.

Jill was Sponsorship Manager of the Best Design Awards 1995 which was staged at the New Art Gallery in Auckland. Also co-ordinated the public relations for this event.

Kate Alexander FDINZ

Director of the design business Studio Alexander; and Director of New Zealands online design store endemicworld.com Kate has design in her blood. She never even considered doing anything else. Graduating from AUT in 1997 she had several years in the industry earning her stripes before starting the design business Studio Alexander in September 1999, with her father Grant Alexander. In the past ten years Kate and Grant have built Studio Alexander to a humming team of twelve.

Kate has won several Best Design Awards, was the youngest elected professional member of the DINZ council, has been a judge of the Design Ambassador Awards and the Best Design Awards.

Kate took some time off at the end of 2007 to have her son Harry and is now the creative and marketing director for new venture endemicworld.com. and an active Director and creative mentor at Studio Alexander.

Peter Bromhead FDINZ

Peter Bromhead has a considerable history as a furniture designer, interior designer, contract furniture supplier, cartoonist, children's book writer /illustrator and film animator. He was awarded in the 2000 New Zealand Honours List and was awarded The Prince Hendrik Medal of Honour for his services to Danish Design in 2001. He has won 7 Qantas Media Awards.

He is currently a Director of Bromhead Design, Graphenzo Publishing and Wooden Spoon Productions. He cartoons daily for The Dominion Post, The Marl Express and weekly for The Sunday Star Times and writes for The New Zealand Business Herald, Urbis and Simply You Magazines. In the recent 2006 Toronto Film Festival four of his Doodlebug animated cartoons were finalists.

He is currently working on a number of design projects both locally and internationally. He represents Knoll International, USM, Magnus Olesen, PP Mobler and Louis Poulsen in New Zealand.

Peter Tasker FDINZ

Born 1952. Wellington School of Design through early 1970’s. Initial work experience in plastics and sheetmetal. Peter had a small wooden product manufacturing business for 5 years. Then a combination of Industrial Design consultancy and design licensing through to the present. Peter has lived in Auckland for the last 25 years and is married with one child.

New Zealand design influences have been Peter Haythornthwaite and Max Beachamp. Peter has been a member of the Industrial Design Association since the mid 80’s and a DINZ since it was incepted in 1991.

Peter has won the Stringer for Product at the BeST Design Awards in 1995.

Rob Cox FDINZ

Rob trained in Interior Design in London in 1975, and established a full time consultancy in Auckland which operated from 1979 to 1989. He then lectured in Interior Design at Unitec from 1989 to 2006. He continues his private client practice, now specialising in Residential work, providing design services in the areas of indoor and outdoor planning, colour, lighting, materials and style.
