Series One is a half day commitment (9am -12pm) for 4 consecutive weeks This is a fantastic opportunity for DINZ members to grow and improve the profitability of their business. The training has two components: 1.Group Training / Workshop - Practical workshops filled with industry case studies, workbooks and materials all supported by real world experience. The workshops are aimed at transferring skills and knowledge in a range of business areas and management. Costing and Pricing to Improve Profitability 'Product' DINZ members - 2nd September 08 'Spatial' DINZ members - 3rd September 08 'Graphics' DINZ members - 4th September 08 Business owners need to understand costs and what drives profitability in their business. This half day workshop will equip participants with the skills to understand business costs, and effectively set pricing and service levels. Course content includes: 路 The Drivers of Profitability 路 Understanding fixed and variable costs 路 Calculating charge-out rates 路 Calculating breakeven points 路 Allocating overheads to products/services and setting prices to ensure profitability 路 Includes worked examples

Small Business Tax 'Product' DINZ members - 9th September 08 'Spatial' DINZ members - 10th September 08 'Graphics' DINZ members - 11th September 08 This half day workshop is to assist self employed business people to understand tax compliance. This programme is suitable for those who do not employ staff. For clients who do employ staff they are advised to attend this workshop and also the Tax for Employers workshop. Course content includes: 路 Compliance with GST, ACC, and Income Tax 路 Treatment of motor vehicles and business entertainment 路 Withholding Tax 路 Home office deductibility 路 Interest deductibility 路 The IRD - useful tools available, tips and online filing options

Budgeting and Cashflow Planning 'Product' DINZ members - 16th September 08 'Spatial' DINZ members - 17th September 08 'Graphics' DINZ members - 18th September 08 Without clear financial budgets and cashflow projections many business fail to reach their goals. Inadequate cashflow is one of the major constraints to business growth, and a common reason for business failure.
