Recruitment requirement for an Ambassador to work in the Napier, Palmerston North and Petone Mitre 10 Mega stores:
The Ambassador is required to work every Saturday and Sunday during October from 10am to 3pm. If successful, we will look to repeat this activity every couple of months so there is an opportunity for ongoing casual work. For a student or recent graduate the hourly rate is $25 per hour gross.
We are looking for a second or third year Interior Design student who has the competency and skills to provide mini colour consultations. They will need to have a really good understanding of how colour works in homes and be confident in assisting homeowners make colour choices and putting together basic schemes for them.
This is great opportunity for a student to gain work experience and start building a profile.
Expectations of the Colour Ambassadors:
- To have an understanding of colour and design at a junior to intermediate level. They will either be recent design graduate or current year 2/3 design students. - Good communication skills and outgoing nature.
- Well presented. Polished and professional appearance (NZ merino knit top provided).
- Preferably have some retail or customer service experience. - Understand how being a Dulux Colour Ambassador links into the end goal of selling Dulux product via colour (will be explained further to the successful candidate).
- To have an understanding of the Dulux product range and the features and benefits of the hero products (Weathershield X10, Wash & Wear, Aquanamel and Mouldshield). However, any technical or specifying advice needs to be given by the store staff. The Dulux Colour Ambassadors are only expected to know enough about Dulux products to add credibility to their colour discussions with consumers and to spark up conversation while aisle walking (training information will be provided).
